Our Trilotarium shows a complete „molting shirt“ that can be recognized by the opened sutures of the shell, mainly in the head´s region. For molting the grown animals obviously came down to the ground, hatched and left back the old too small skin. Trilobites grew and molted all over their live just as other arthropods for example spiders do still today.
